Announcing the Dean’s Choice and President’s Choice Purchase Awards
Each quarter two award-purchases of student work will take place, administered by the Gallery Committee. Each student selected will receive a $250 scholarship, to be applied to their student account. Works will be on display in the President’s and Dean’s offices for the quarter following the award, and then placed on public display on campus grounds permanently. Previous winners are allowed to resubmit only after a waiting period of 3 quarters. For example, if you received a Choice Award in Fall 2009, you would not be eligible to submit again until Summer 2010.
To be considered, please submit the following by the deadline of 4pm, Friday, March 13, 2010:
Up to three works may be submitted.
Submissions are accepted via email ONLY. You will submit either 1-3 jpg or pdf files representing the works, or a web gallery with 1-3 works posted (emailing the link for your submission). The web gallery option is designed to aid students who have one-of-a-kind works, such as drawings, that they may photograph with a digital camera and post for consideration. If more links are delivered with more than three works, the Dean and President will only review the first three on the site.
All students at Ai have web space available for such a gallery. Please consult your faculty for help and advice. The Gallery Committee cannot provide such help.
JPG submissions:
No longer than 6” on the longest side. 150 ppi.
You may be asked to provide a bigger file if selected.
Email your submissions no later than 4pm on Friday, March 12, 2010 to cmullins@aii.edu with the subject line “President’s Award”.
